A New York based fast growing home health care service company is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and experienced person to join our nursing team.
Respond to: Director of Patient Service (DPS) or Nurse Supervisor
Part Time/ Per Diem Based
Responsibilities:
• Adheres to the highest standards of healthcare practice, ethics, and professionalism at all times.
• Provides direct skilled nursing services to patients.
• Performs shift and private duty nursing services.
• Responsible for the planning, coordination, provision, and evaluation of direct nursing services to patients and their families in accordance with professional practice act and agency policy.
Requirements:
• NYS Licensed and currently registered as a Registered Professional Nurse. A Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
• One year experience in the provision of nursing care in an acute care facility. One year satisfactory Nursing experience in Home Care, desired.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, and be able to speak effectively before customers/patients or employees of the agency.
Multi-lingual ability in Chinese (Mandarin/ Cantonese/ Fuzhounese / Taishanese ), Spanish or other languages is highly preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical operations as related to medication calculations, units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
• Good Organizational writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
